The Paragon Data View (PDV) is an independent Document Retrieval and Viewing application. It can be bundled into the Paragon Data Suite as the Paragon Data Suite Viewer (PDS View). The Paragon Data Suite is a complete image processing system.  It can scan , index, OCR the documents and store document data into the database. The Paragon Data View retrieves the document data and display the document image for users from the database.

The Paragon Data View can search and retrieve the data from database in three different ways. The First one is by searching the Index Fields. The second one is browsing by Folder Tree View. The third one is by the Full Text Searching.

Besides the menu bar, tool bar and status bar, the screen of the Paragon Data View are divided into three potions. The upper left potion is the Search window. The upper right potion is the Document Information window and The bottom portion is the Image window. The Search Window in the following is the Index Field window. We also call this is an Index Search Window

The Search Window in the following is the Tree View window.

The Search Window in the following is the Full Text Search window

The Paragon Data View Module can be easily customized for any application without any programming. The customization jobs are done by the PDV Setup Module, which can dynamically link with any image database and make a customized viewer without any programming.

Multiple customized applications are allowed in the Paragon Data View Module. One customized application is called a Project. To create a Project is from PDV Setup Module. To run the Project is from the PDS View Module.

The Paragon Data View Module won't run properly without a database and image files. The database must exist before creating a Project. If the database doesn't exist, the new database structure must be created first. The new database can be a Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visual FoxPro, Microsoft SQL or Oracle etc.
