To setup the Image Window for Tree View must be after the Document Data Window setup.

To setup the Image Window is select and then click the Next button.

When the first time entering the Select Database Tables window, there is an option for duplicating the Index Fields View settings for Tree View by clicking the Copy button. The Copy button is very useful, if the Document Data Window setting is same to the one in the Index Fields View

When using the Paragon Data Viewer, a user select or double click the item in the Document Data Window, the document image will display in the Image Window. Therefore, The purpose of the Image Window setting is to tell Paragon Data Viewer where the Document Image Location is and the data relationship in between the Document Data Window and the Image Window

The Document Image Location must be stored in a database table.  To select a table containing the path name and file name of the image files information is to highlight the table name, then click on the button or just double-click on the table name from the Select Database Tables window.

If there are more than one tables selected, then the Join Selected Tables window will appear to setup the table key joining. After clicking the Next button, the Select Database Fields window appears.

An image Full Path Name contains the storage drive name, path name and file name. For example, N:\PDS\Images\4N000123.TIF is a full path name. The N: is the drive name. The PDS\Images\ is the path name and the 4N000124.TIF is the file name.

If the database table has the image full path name field, then select that field. Sometimes, it's necessary to combine more than one fields to form the image full path name. Then, select the field names in drive name, path name and file name order.

In order to build a valid full path name, the Attachment button is very helpful. For example, the database drive field contains N:. The path name contains PDS\Images and the file name contains 4N000123.TIF. Combining three fields together, the full path name will be N:PDS\Images4N000123.TIF, which is an invalid path name. By clicking  the Attachment button for drive field and path field to add the \ attachment in the end of the field, then the full path name will become N:\PDS\Images\4N000123.TIF.

To setup the data relationship in between Document Data Window and Image Window is to link the key data between Document Data and Image Data. In other words, the Paragon Data Viewer needs to know how to find the Image File full path name from the Document data when a user click on the item in the Document Data Window. Therefore, a linking key must be selected from the Image Window, but do not check it on the checkbox. If a checkbox is checked, the field is for the Image File full path name. For example, the Documents.Document_ID is a linking key field. It is selected but unchecked.

To link key data to the Document Data Window is to click Next button.

Add a new relationship line
Delete a relationship line
Clear all relationship lines

To add a Relationship Line is to click the plus sign button. Double-click the blank cell in the Data View Field (Data in the Document Data View) column to select a Key Field Name from the dropdown list box. Double-click the blank cell in the Linkage Field (Data in the Image View) column to select a Key Field Name from the dropdown list box.

If the image file location, the full path name field, is already in the Document Data View, then the setup for the key linkage is not necessary. In this case, check on the checkbox of Don't link! The image location is in Document Data View, the Paragon Partners Viewer can find the Image Location faster in this way. Click the Next button to save the setting and continue.

The Paragon Data Viewer supports two different type of multiple page TIFF file structures. One is the multiple page in a physical file. The other is all single pages in a folder (directory) as a multiple page TIFF. (a.k.a. Folder TIFF). The default setting is the Folder TIFF. If the option for the Folder TIFF is selected, the The Paragon Data Viewer will check both format when displaying the image.

This is end of the setting for the Image Window of the Index Field View. If there is no Full Text File related to the Image File, then click the Next button to setup the Customer Pop-up Window.

If there is a Full Text File related to the Image File, then the checkbox of Display Full Text for the Image Document is must checked to prepare the Full Text Window setup. Therefore the Paragon Data Viewer enables to display the Full Text for that image. The Full Text file can be generated by the Paragon Data Suite OCR module. Click the Next button to setup the relationship between Image and Full Text files.
