Final Check

To setup the Search Window for Index Fields View must be after the Document Data Window setup.

The purpose of the Search Window setting is to define the Index Field Layout in the Search Window.

To setup the Search Window is select and then click the Next button. The Setup Index Search Fields window appears.

Add a new index search field
Delete an index search field
Clear all index search fields
Alias  Edit the alias names (labels) of index search fields

To add a Index Search Field is to click the plus sign button, double-click the blank cell in the Index Search Field column and then select a Field Name from the dropdown list box. The Alias name can be changed by click on the Alias button or double-click on the cell.

The default Index Search Field is a Text Box format. To change it to the Combo Box format is to double-click on the cell of Type column, then select Combo Box option.

To setup the Combo Box is in the Index Field Layout Window by clicking the Next button to get there.

The Index Field Layout Window maintains the labels, comparison operators, the positions and lengths of the Index Search Fields.

By clicking on the Auto Alignment  button, all the screen objects will move together as close as possible and align to the operators.

To drag and drop the labels or Index Field boxes enables to move the objects to the desired positions.

By right-clicking on the Label, Operator or the Index Field, more setting options  of the object can be selected.

By double-clicking on the Combo Box, the setup of Combo box will appears.

There are two types of Combo Box settings. One is the drop down data from the database table. The other is the drop down data from the use's inputs.

If select the Drop Down from Table option, select the Table name first and then select the column field name. The drop down data will show on the List Box. If there is no data on the List Box, then either the database table is empty or it needs more time to fill in from a huge database table. When the database table has huge data, the Combo Box option is not recommended.

If select the Drop Down from Text option, then just type the data wanted to be in the List Box.

You may select Drop Down from Table option, retrieve data form the database table, then change Drop Down from Text option. This way the drop down data in the List Box will be saved. The Paragon Data Viewer will get the drop down data from the local PC, not from the Server database table.

To save the settings must click on the Save button. To return the Index Field Layout window is to click on the Save or Close buttons.

Repeat the procedure for all the Combo Boxes field. Make sure the database table data are available before using the Paragon Data Viewer.

This is end of the setting for the Search Window of Index Fields View. Clicking the Next button goes to the Image Window setup.
