Setup Full Text Search View
Document Data Window
The Full Text Search View in the Paragon Data Viewer won't be available without a Full Text Search Engine. To assign the Full Text Search Engine for the Paragon Data Viewer is from the Setup Full Text Search Engine page.
To setup the Full Text Search View is from the Select a Data View Type window.

The Index Fields View setup must be completed before working on the Full Text Search View Setup.
If the Data Source Name (DSN) hasn't assigned to the project,
then click on ODBC button
to assign the DSN before setting the Index Fields View and Full Text Search View.
To start the Full Text Search View setup is to select the
Full Text Search View radio button and click the Next
button. After selecting Document Data Window option in the Select
a Data View Window, click the Next
button to start the Document Data Window setup.
The purpose of the Document Data Window setting is to tell the Paragon Data Viewer how to display the document data from database after a Full Text Search request.

The first thing to setup the Document View Window is to
setup the database tables and fields. There is an option for duplicating the Index
Fields View settings for Full Text Search View by clicking the Copy
button, which is available only the first time entering the Select Database
Tables window. The Copy
button
is very useful, if the Document Data Window setting is same to the one in
the Index Fields View.

If the setting of Document Data Window is different
from the Index Fields View, then database tables must be assigned to Document
Data Window. If the data in database tables want to display on the Document
Data Window; then the table names must be select from here. To select a
table is to highlight the table name, then click on the
button or just double-click on the table name. When tables selection is
done, click the Next
button.

If only one table is selected, then click the Next
button to select
table fields.

If more than one tables are selected, the data joining criteria between tables need to be defined. Usually tables are joined (linked) using the Record Key, which is an unique identification field of a table. The joined data look like a new table to be displayed in the Document Data Window.
To select, highlight and double-click the field name in the table List Box on the right-hand side window will copy the field name to the Selected Key Fields to Join Tables window.
If more than two tables, use Add
button to create the extra Record Key Join criteria. After finishing all
criteria lines, click the Next
button to
continue.
| Add one criteria line | |
| Delete the highlighted criteria line | |
| Clear all Criteria |
After selecting the database tables, the table fields must be
selected for the Document Data Window. If the Copy
button was applied in the Select Database Tables Window, the field names
in the Index Fields View setting should appear on the Select Table
Fields window.
To select the other field names for the Document Data Window is to highlight and double-click on the file names on the right-hand side table list box.
There are check boxes in the front of the selected field names. If a field name needs to be hidden on the screen, then uncheck the box. For example, the index1.document_ID doesn't mean to users at all. We don't want to show it to users, but we need it as the Referral Key to Image View window. So we can unchecked to hide it.
| Delete the highlighted field name | |
| Clear all field names | |
| Alias | Edit the alias names (subtitles in the Document Data View window) of field names. |
Click the Next
button to
assign the Alias Names for all selected database fields.
The alias names of the database fields will display on the first
row of the
Document Data
Window. They will be the column titles of
the Data Grid (Document Information) window.
The Setup Wizard can generated the default name from the Generate
Default Alias Name command button, if the alias name is blank. The field alias names can be typed
over into the cells in the Column
Titles, if
it needs to be changed. The Save
button must be clicked to save the settings.
This is end of the settings for the
Document Data Window
of the
Full Text Search View.
Click the Next
button to
setup the
Search
Window.
