Create a Project

Before creating a new project, to review and be familiar with the Paragon Data View (PDV)  Screen design will be very helpful to follow the instructions from the PDV Setup Module. 

It's necessary to know that the PDV module provides three data search windows which are Index Fields View, Tree View and  Full Text Search View. For each view, the PDV module need to know the names of the database fields and tables, the locations of images and the relationships between searching data and images. The PDV Setup Module records the those  settings of three data view in the Project file.

To create a new project is to select the New Project from the File item Menu Bar.

Then click Yes button for Want to Create New Project? Message Box. Click Yes  button again for Ok to delete project 'C:\WINDOWS\PDVIEW.INI'? Message Box. The PDVIEW.INI is the name of PDV Default Project. 

The PDV Setup module acts like a Setup Wizard. The Wizard guides users to setup Index Fields View, Tree View and  Full Text Search View one step at a time. The Setup Paragon Data View Window is the home page of the Setup Wizard.

	Stop Project Settings
	Previous Page
	Save and Next Page
	Final Check

Since each Project needs a database, the first step to create a new project is to click on ODBC button in the Select a Data Type window to assign a database for the new project before clicking and go to next page.
