CDROM Utility
The Paragon Data Viewer provides the CDROM search option for CD Jukebox application. If the image file in a CD is not online, then the Paragon Data Viewer cannot display the image file. It will displays the message with image file name with CD Volume Name to help users to find the CD storing the image file .
In order to display the CD Volume Name for users, the CD volume Name must be stored in the database table. To setup the CD volume Name is from the CDROM Utility in the Menu Bar under Options.
Select the setup options for the Index View, the Tree View or the Full Text Search View.
If the Volume ID Field Name is blank. then click the Define CD Volume ID Field button to assign the Volume ID Field Name.
From the Assign CD Volume ID Field window, select the table name containing the CD Volume ID Field from the CD Volume ID Table dropdown, then select the field name from the CD Volume ID Field dropdown.
The relationship between the Data in Document Data View and the CD Volume ID Table must be linked. If they are in the same table, then link with the same record key.
There are two ways to store the CD Volume Name into the CD Volume ID Field.
One way is from an Index Field to release into database. The other way is from
the Update CD Volume ID Field in Database window to enter the CD Volume
Name in the New CD Volume ID textbox and click on the Save button.
This utility can generate a CD Volume Name for users using the DSN or previous
CD volume names by clicking on the
button.

There is an option to update CD Volume ID in the existing database. If the option of Update CD Volume ID to the Existing Records is selected, then all existing CD Volume Names will appear in the Combo Box dropdown. Select the CD Volume Name to be replaced, type the new CD Volume Name and click the Save button to update all.
