PDQ is a complete information delivery system that provides all the necessary tools to efficiently integrate, manage, report and track, as well as archive, real property information, existing databases, maps and GIS systems.
PDQ manages and retrieves the intellectual content contained in these information sources in an efficient and productive manner.
PDQ features two modules, the Administration Module and the Search Module.
Administration Module
The Administration Module is used by the PDQ Administrator to add systems/projects, document types and categories, customize user preferences and scan or import electronic documents. PDQ's open architecture allows users to create customized data entry screens with no programming experience.
PDQ's Administration Module can track data for new projects, facilities and corridors.
Users can input ownership information; payment records, third party uses and tenants; engineering stationing, GPS coordinates (used to link to GIS systems); property status and land use types.
PDQ's document flagging notifies users of pending payments, milestones or actions required.
PDQ's production scanning capabilities features image cleanup and advanced indexing using bar coding and zonal Optical Character Recognition (OCR). PDQ performs advanced error checking for storage volume status, legal index specifications, and full text image integrity on all scanned documents before they are released into the system.
Search Module
The Search Module of PDQ is your window to access information. Advanced search capabilities features retrievable user named searches, document type searches, quick map searches and ownership searches. Search parameters may be set to retrieve any information contained in the database. The Search Module views and prints documents and displays data entry information about folders and documents.
PDQ's custom report generator can create reports from any information contained in the database and includes easy to use math and formula functions.
Report information can be exported to other word processing and spreadsheet programs for automated generation of forms and documents.
The full-text retrieval feature of PDQ is used from the Search Module. Any combination of full text, key field, progressive, synonym, or concept searches are available. PDQ has "fuzzy logic" capabilities which can find close matches on character drop outs, misspellings and OCR errors. PDQ searches 500 MB of text in 5 seconds.
PDQ builds indexes automatically for user defined searches and completely supports multi-page TIFF viewing and printing.
System Requirements
For optimum system performance, a pentium processor with 32MB RAM, 17" Super VGA high resolution monitor and sufficient storage space for your records is recommended.
Storage Recommendations
Scan Station Requires 20 MB disk space for installation plus working space for scanned images.
Images, maps and database volumes require storage on customer's storage medium. Optical juke box, magneto optical or Raid system is recommended for images.
